At GDGS , we follow CBSE syllabus based on NCERT guidelines. The CBSE syllabus is very structured, highly predictable and controlled. All national entrance examinations are conducted as sdper this syllabus. The focus is majorly on learning through experience and experimentation rather than through experience and experimentation rather than through one-way teaching.
Learning is made joyful for the Primary students, our curriculum is designed in such a way so as to encourage inquiry and exploration and to develop child’s competence in LSRW skills in languages, mental ability and problem solving skills in mathematics and curiosity in environmental sciences. Equal importance is given to creative arts and Physical education to instill confidence and discipline in the students.
As Middle school is an incredibly important time in any child’s academic, social and emotional growth, therefore the curriculum is designed in a way to meet our student’s academic needs and also encourage them to explore their passions at school and in their day-to-day life.
BEYOND ACADEMICS :
- PHYSICAL EDUCATION : To develop student’s competence and confidence a wide range of Physical activities both indoor and outdoor are provided which teaches our student to be effective in competitive, creative and challenging situations.
ART & CRAFT : ART and craft education is a part of our curriculum , since it has a crucial role at the center of science, technology, engineering and mathematics; moving STEM into STEAM fosters creativity, innovation and growth and also provides our children with regular opportunities to think imaginatively and creatively and develop confidence in other subjects and life skills.
LIFE SKILLS : Life-skill education is provided from Grade I to prepare our students for the challenges they face in every day life. These classes are conducted by the student counselors, through various activities like dynamic teaching and learning, role plays, group discussions, story –telling, peer discussions ,debates, Gamesand Brainstorming sessions.
ROBOTICS : STEM education is provided by conducting Robotics classes with in the school time, which gives our students the opportunities to dive deep into the world of robotics and explore how computer programming and robot designing can solve problems.
