THE HOUSE SYSTEM
The overall aim of the House System is to connect all year groups within the school, providing them with the opportunity to further develop skills and experiences to become confident and well-rounded individuals. The House System aims to do this by providing House members with enjoyable and competitive House events; thereby allowing students to succeed both in and outside of the classroom. The curriculum at GDGS is aligned with educational tours /field trips undertaken during the course of the academic session. Field tours are incredibly enriching for the students and are a crucial component of the academic program because they foster confidence, self-worth, independent learning, teamwork, social skills and provide a break from the monotony of classroom learning. Educational tours also provide students with the opportunity to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as they navigate unfamiliar environments and cultures. Educational trips are a perfect platform for students to bond with their peers and to build lasting memories which they will cherish life-long. Tours are organized at local, national and international level, considering the viability.
