You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. – Kahlil Gibran

Family, school and community are intertwined and need to work in collaboration in supporting the child’s learning, to enable the children gain better education outcomes. Over the last few years, the role of teachers and parental monitoring has been challenged. While trained, committed teachers are at the heart of quality education, effective learning also happens in the home. Parental support is multidimensional and involves commitment of time and providing resources towards children’s learning.

At GDGS, with praise, encouragement, enthusiasm and affection used as tools to nurture talent, skills and abilities; we encourage children to imbibe values of tolerance, fair play, compassion, integrity, fortitude, a good moral character and a strong sense of discipline.

The education program is designed to be responsive to the needs of individual children in order to best support learning and overall development. The children are placed squarely at the center of the curriculum, and nurturance of total development and learning is the goal. The curriculum aims at enhancing physical, analytical and cognitive skills of our
children and at the same time prepare them for the next level of learning, to ensure a smooth and easy transition. An attempt to implement a distinctive blend of offerings in the areas of knowledge and enterprise is made.

We, at GD Goenka School, Hyderabad, are of the firm belief that there are two things that we can give to our children, first firm roots and second strong wings. Importantly, stress is made on learning that is activity-based and aimed at inculcating a scientific bent of mind with freedom to question how and why. If innovation and novel ideas are a key to a bright future, then we can surely remain assured of our place under the pedagogic sun.

May we give our children the roots to grow and wings to fly!
